| Science Honours | Amgen Australia Prize in Biotechnology Donor: Amgen Australia is part of Amgen Incorporated, which develops and delivers therapeutics based on advances in cellular and molecular biology. Eligibility: Students undertaking a course in Biotechnology at Honours level. Selection Criteria: Awarded to the student with the highest achievement in a research project in biotechnology. The recipient will be selected by a selection committee consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, a representative of Amgen Australia and the Heads of the School of Botany, and the Departments of Biochemistry and Genetics. |

| Biochemistry and Molecular Biology | Lundie Summer Research Scholarship Donor: Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to commemorate the passing of Nicole Amber Lundie, a member of the inaugural Bachelor of Biomedical Science class in 2001. Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) and have completed 100 points at first year and 100 points at second year, but not completed any third year subjects of this course. Selection Criteria: The award will be made primarily on the basis of academic merit in the subject Integrated Biomedical Science I (521-213). Students who submit an outstanding written application with at least a H2B pass in 521-213 will be considered. Special Conditions: Applicants must have passed all 100 points of first year subjects and 100 points of second year subjects in the Bachelor of Biomedical Science. An award need not be made in a particular year if no suitable applications are received. |

Department of Information Systems Honours Scholarship Donor: Department of Information Systems. Eligibility: Students commencing enrolment in the Bachelor of Information Systems (Honours). Selection Criteria: Awarded on the basis of excellent academic achievement in Information Systems at the undergraduate level to the top three course entrants who have achieved at least an average of H1 (80% or greater) in their best five 300-level subjects. Special Conditions: The Scholarship is payable in two instalments, 50% at the beginning of first semester of the Honours course and dependent upon full-time course continuance, 50% at the beginning of the second smester of the course. The student must score a minimum of 65% in each of the three coursework units and meet the first semester requirements of the thesis (615-496) by submitting an acceptable thesis proposal, with an associated presentation. |
