Donor: The late Cecil C Taylor, formerly a grazier in North-Central Victoria, directed his trustees to invest the sum of <20,000.
Eligibility: Candidates intending to undertake a course in Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne
Selection Criteria: The Bursaries are to be awarded by a selection committee comprising a representative of the University, a representative of the trustees and a member of the deceased's family as named in the donor's Will
Special Conditions: The selection committee has discretion as to (a) the number and tenure of bursaries to be awarded; (b) whether, in addition to the payment of ordinary university fees and charges, the bursaries may be applied to the payment of boarding fees; and (c) whether a special grant may be made to cover books and clothing or other things to enable any applicant to be fully equipped to enter and be maintained during the tenure of any bursary. If at any time the Melbourne School of Land and Environment is of the opinion that a bursar is not pursuing his or her studies satisfactorily, it may recommend to the selection committee that the tenure of the Bursary be terminated.

Donor: Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Factory Co Ltd.
Eligibility: Students accepting a place offered in the Bachelor of Agriculture, Bachelor of Agriculture/Bachelor of Commerce or Advanced Diploma of Agriculture, preferably from the Western region of Victoria or the South-East region of South Australia, and who show a proven interest in the dairy industry.
Selection Criteria: Awarded to the eligible student with the highest ENTER score or equivalent in the award year, and who is entering into full-time study.
Special Conditions: Not to be awarded to the recipient of another full Melbourne Scholarship or Cadetship except in unusual circumstances as approved by the Dean of the Melbourne School of Land and Environment. The Award will be made in conjunction with the selection round and offered at the same time as an offer of a place is made. Awarded for the duration of the undergraduate degree, including Honours Year where applicable, subject to satisfactory progress each year.

Eligibility: : Australian citizens or permanent residents who have completed Year 12 or International Baccalaureate who have not previously studied at tertiary level (excluding TAP and extension studies undertaken as part of a Year 12 program).
Selection Criteria: Awarded on the recommendation of the Dean of the Melbourne School of Land and Environment (the Dean) to the top-ranking student entering First Year of an eligible degree in the Melbourne School of Land and Environment. The Dean may take into account additional information in the candidate's academic record or other information supplied by VTAC.
Special Conditions: Recipients of a Melbourne Scholarship, Faculty Scholarship, Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DNRE) Cadetship, the William Allan Stewart Establishment Bursary or a Rural Bursary may not hold the William Allan Stewart Scholarship concurrently.

John James Woodward Prize
Donor: Trustees of the John James Woodward Memorial Prize Fund: Mrs L Philippa Woodward, and members of the Woodward family. The late Dr JJ Woodward (MBBS 1935) was a graduate of the University of Melbourne medical school who had a life-long interest in rural and environmental issues. His family has established this prize in his memory.
Eligibility
: Students in Second Year or a later year of undergraduate courses in agriculture, resource management, forestry or horticulture undertaking a sequence of subjects which focus on preservation of the environment especially in the field of Australian flora and who will further their studies in this area on a full-time basis during the following year of their undergraduate course.
Selection Criteria
: Awarded to the eligibile student with the highest aggregate results for the current year of study who is in some need of financial assistance.

Horticulture John D Bone Memorial Prize
Donor: Faculty of Land and Food Resources.
Eligibility: Full-time students eligible to commence Final Year studies on the Burnley Campus and who intend remaining in the nursery industry upon graduation.
Selection Criteria: The character and personality of each candidate and the economic needs of each candidate. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of academic ability as well as future dedication towards the promotion of the nursery industry. The selection committee will comprise the Head of Burnley Campus or nominee, at least one other member of the Faculty of Land and Food Resources (usually the Head of Department of Resource Management and Horticulture), and a member or representative of the Bone family.
Special Conditions: The committee may make a single award of $4,000 or two awards of $2,000. The committee may decline to award the Prize in any year. Applications should be made in writing and include information relevant to past and future nursery industry involvement and experience and current financial situation.
