Cancer Research Annie S Glover Fellowship
Donor: The late Edward George Glover, formerly of 17 Scott Street, Canterbury, who died on 26th October 1983, bequeathed his residuary estate to his trustees, The Union-Fidelity Trustee Company of Australia Limited [now the Trust Company of Australia Limited], in trust to found the Annie S. Glover Trust Fund. The income from this fund is to be used for the purposes of establishing Fellowships for research on cancer for three years.
Eligibility: Expert research workers.
Selection Criteria: Merit, taking into account career positions and quality of research.
Special Conditions: Fellowships are tenable for a period of three years on such terms and conditions as the University Council deems fit. When a cure for cancer has been discovered or should a cure for cancer in the opinion of the University Council remain undiscovered at the end of the period of three years, the income of the Annie S. Glover Trust Fund shall be again accumulated and applied to establish subsequent Fellowships each tenable for a period of three years for an expert research worker on another human disease to be selected from time to time by the University Council.

Selection Criteria
: The prize is to be awarded to the candidate who submits the most meritorious PhD thesis for assessment for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy during the preceding year. The selection panel for the prize are: Head of School; Associate Head, Research; Associate Head, Research Training. The selection panel will consider examiners’ reports on the thesis and must consult together concerning the award of the prize, and in a division of opinion the view of the majority of selection panel members will prevail.
