The University Affairs Advisory Group will advise the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (University Affairs) on strategic planning and development of the “third strand” of the University’s Triple Helix agenda, Engagement. This includes development of knowledge partnerships, public knowledge programs, and the means of optimising the University’s interactions with key stakeholders internally and externally, in particular with government, media, and industry and community groups.
It will advise on development of the Engagement Plan, a University-wide Stakeholder Management Framework and on coordination of the work of those units interacting with key stakeholders.
Terms of Reference
- To advise on development of the University’s Engagement agenda, including:
- Engagement Planning
- Knowledge Partnership development
- c. Public Knowledge Programs
- Community Relations
- To coordinate and advise on management of the University’s stakeholder engagement plans, as it relates to:
- Government Relations
- Media Relations
- Donor, Alumni and Institutional Relations
- Community Relations
- Internal Staff Relations
- To provide oversight as required for:
- Reputational Crisis Management
- Issues Management
- To receive reports on Emergency Incident Management as necessary
