The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) is accountable to the Vice-Chancellor for operational matters relating to knowledge transfer and partnerships.

The forum that provides advice to inform the decisions of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) is the Knowledge Transfer and Partnerships Advisory Group (KT&PAG). It monitors the engagement of the University with its non-academic communities. It evaluates and makes recommendations on priorities for developing, maintaining and recognising collaborations between the University and external partners that enhance the intellectual capital of the University and its communities and serve to address significant social, cultural and economic issues from local to global scales.

Relationship to University Committees and Portfolio Heads

On advice from the KT&PAG, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) may refer issues to University committees which have significant policy, resource or academic implications, or other portfolio heads for issues relevant to their portfolio.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) may establish further advisory groups to provide information and recommendations to the KT&PAG.

Terms of Reference

The group provides advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) on:

  1. Priorities and policy on matters relevant to knowledge transfer and partnership activities, including in relation to commercialisation of research and educational services
  2. The monitoring of the University’s knowledge transfer and partnership activities, including:
  3. Incentives and awards in Knowledge Transfer and Partnerships.
  4. Strategies for fostering collaboration across the University in relation to knowledge transfer and partnerships.

Reportintransferg

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) refers operational matters unable to be resolved at the portfolio level to Senior Executive, and provides a summary of decisions for the information of Senior Executive.

Decisions taken by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Relations) and other information of interest to the University community will be communicated to the relevant stakeholders via means appropriate to the audience.
