1. Membership
The President of the Academic Board (or nominee)
The Vice President of the Academic Board (or nominee)
Deputy Vice-President of the Board (or nominee)
At least one of the three Board officers should be a member of any Selection Appeals Committee.
2. Chairperson
The Committee shall be chaired by the President of the Academic Board or the President’s nominee on the Committee.
3. Terms of Reference
3.1 To consider matters of procedural or academic concern referred by the Appeals Officer (being the officer designated by the Board from to time to exercise this role) regarding the initial investigation of an applicant’s complaint by the Admissions Office.
3.2 To hear appeals from applicants on selection decisions where applicants are dissatisfied with the formal response to their queries provided by the Appeals Officer.
3.3 To examine appeals from applicants against selection decisions to determine if the prescribed procedures for selection have been followed and issues of equity/special circumstances have been addressed during the selection process.

5. Notification of appealsMeetings of the Committee should be heard when required and as soon as possible following the receipt of an appeal.
All appeals should initially be addressed to the Secretary of the Academic Board.
