Archives Advisory Board

1.         Membership

University Secretary (or nominee)
University Archivist
University Librarian (or nominee)
Up to nine other members appointed by the President of the Academic Board in consultation with the University Archivist; up to three members to represent academic staff and up to six members to represent external user groups, depositor peak bodies and other relevant interests. Members' terms of appointment are three years, with a maximum of two terms.

2.         Chair

The Archives Advisory Board must annually elect one of it members to be Chair.

3.       Functions and Terms of Reference

The Archives Advisory Board must:

3.1 advise the Libraries Committee and the University Archives on strategic and policy issues;

3.2 assist as a strategic partner to the University Archives in the pursuit of its objectives, including external funding;

3.3 represent the University Archives and promote its interests as appropriate; and

3.4 meet at least twice a year.
