VCA Integration Committee

Established under the Heads of Agreement, this committee is chaired in alternate years by a member of Council and a member of the VCA Advisory Board - member of VCA Advisory Board to chair in 2013. It consists of three members of each of these bodies.

A. Membership

Three members or fellows appointed by and from the Council

Three members appointed by and from the VCA Advisory Board

B. Terms of Reference

  1. to review and advise the Council at least annually whether the integration is proceeding in accordance with the Heads of Agreement;
  2. to advise Council on such action as the VCA integration committee may consider necessary where implementation arrangements are not congruent with the Heads of Agreement;
  3. to recommend such amendments to the Heads of Agreement as the VCA integration committee may consider to be of benefit to the VCA and the University; and
  4. to commission at the end of 2011, through the vice-chancellor and the director and dean, VCA, a substantial review of the integration, which review may be undertaken in conjunction with the review of funding arrangements pursuant to clause 13.5 of the Heads of Agreement, and:
    1. to advise Council and the VCA advisory board whether the vision and purpose of the integration of the VCA as a faculty of the University are being achieved; and
    2. if the vision and purpose are not being achieved, to recommend to Council and the VCA advisory board such action as the VCA integration committee may consider appropriate.

The VCA integration committee is to:

  1. Comprise three Council members or Council Fellows appointed by and from the Council and three members appointed by and from the VCA Advisory Board.
  2. Be chaired in alternate years by a member of Council and a member of the VCA Advisory Board, commencing with a member of the VCA Advisory Board
