The Building Design Review Sub-committee is a sub-committee of the Buildings and Estates Committee and provides advice to it on significant new building developments and refurbishment projects affecting the external appearance of University campuses.
I MEMBERSHIP
A Chairperson with expertise in building design appointed by the Chairperson of the Buildings and Estates Committee
Vice-Chancellor or nominee
Victorian Government Architect or nominee
University Master Planner
Provost or nominee
Executive Director Property and Campus Services or nominee
II TERMS OF REFERENCE
The Sub-committee provides advice and recommendations to the Buildings and Estates Committee as required on matters relating to exterior design and significant interior design of proposed new building developments and major refurbishment projects at the University’s campuses. This may involve the review of design proposals and technical reports referred for consideration and the provision of advice relating to the application of sound design practice, including the criteria as set out in the Victorian Government Architect’s Good Design guide.
