Information Management Advisory Service Information Management Corner

Where do I get help with my information management?

What does information management mean at the University of Melbourne ? In some instances it can refer to the name of an organisational unit (e.g. the Information Management Division with Information Services) but within the context of this website, we are focused on information management generally, across the whole University.

This is an information management website without borders!

Sometimes you may not even realise that you need help with information management. You simply may want to improve the way you store information, or share it, or access it. Or you might want to know more about a particular policy and how that might impact on the way you manage information in your area. What rules apply? What if you are building a new IT system and need to check if anyone else is already capturing the information you want to capture? What if you are trying to find out what to do with your records, what if you want some training in compliance, the list can be endless.

Therefore, if you think you might need help with any kind of information management type query, then please get in touch with the Information Management Advisory Service. Yes, it's that simple. Just email im-help@unimelb.edu.au or telephone Catherine Nicholls on 83444384 - and we will help!
