An Introduction to Mental Health
Thursday 9 October
"An Introduction to Mental Health" provides students with an overview of the main categories of mental illness including:
- common symptoms
- treatment options
- what causes mental illness?
- how can we help each other?
This free session will help students to recognise symptoms of mental illness in themselves, their families and their peers; understand which category of mental illness they are observing; and suggest strategies that will help the person to either seek professional help, or adopt self-help behaviours.
1pm-4pm, Alan Gilbert Building
