Diversity Week 2009 - it's about you!
Monday 16 to Friday 20 March

Did you know that the University community is made up of around forty five thousand students, who speak 99 different languages between them. 850 students use the Disability Liaison Unit, 57% of the students here are female (up from just 26% in 1935!), and staff at the University were born in 97 different countries!

From 16-20 March, the University of Melbourne will be celebrating its diverse population with a lively program of events organised by staff and students. This important event celebrates the rich diversity within the University community and promotes the inclusivity of all staff and students at Melbourne.

This week will be held in conjunction with the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on March 21.
