Sessions for 2010
Copyright & Teaching (including copyright and web 2.0)
Thinking about podcasting your lectures for students? How about using a wiki or blog as a teaching resource? Using new technologies in your teaching can be a great way to interact with students but there are some issues that need to be cleared before you can use these innovative teaching tools. In this session, you will learn about your copyrights and responsibilities when teaching or aiding teaching staff. If you put material on the LMS, show films or play music in class, have images in your powerpoints, use wikis, blogs, forums, open websites, etc. for teaching then you will need to know how to manage your copyright responsibilities. Additionally, Julie Rodman, Intellectual Property, Contract & Industry Liaison will give a short presentation about commercialising your teaching resources.
Date: Tuesday, 9 February
Time: 10.30am - 12pm
Location: Tutorial Room, Ground Floor Baillieu Library
