Human-Swine Influenza Response

Vaccination for Human-Swine Influenza

The Federal Government has made available a free H1N1 (Human-Swine flu) vaccine through General Practitioners. All staff and students including overseas students are eligible for this vaccine.

Arrangements for students

Please make an appointment with a Doctor at the Health Service on 8344 6904.

The Health Service bulk-bills all University of Melbourne students and their immediate dependants through Medicare or OSHC Worldcare, so there will be nothing to pay.

All those expecting to travel to the Northern Hemisphere at the end of semester are encouraged to vaccinate before leaving Australia.

Arrangements for staff

Government guidelines require a GP consultation before the vaccine is administered, and you may be billed for this consultation. To arrange vaccination, see your GP or arrange an appointment on 8344 6904 at the Health Service.
