What is APSR?

The Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories (APSR) project is a DEST (Systematic Infrastructure Initiative) funded project that aims to establish a centre of excellence for the management of scholarly assets in digital format.

An overview of the National APSR Project is also available on this site.

APSR at Melbourne

The University of Melbourne became a partner in the Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories (APSR) in October 2005.

Our specific contribution to the national project in 2006 was our work with APSR partners on the Sustainable Paths for Data-Intensive Research Communities (AERES) project. This project concluded in August 2006. The final PDF report, "Sustainable paths for data-intensive research communities at the University of Melbourne: a report for the Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories" can be downloaded from: http://eprints.infodiv.unimelb.edu.au/archive/00002731/. The AERES Report, "Sustainability Issues for Australian Research Data: The report of the Australian e-Research Sustainability Survey Project" can be downloaded from: http://dspace.anu.edu.au/handle/1885/44304

Our continuing participation in the APSR partnership forms part of the University’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and support for eResearch and eScholarship activities.
