Organise a reunion
Reunions are a familiar part of university life. Alumni may meet periodically for a range of purposes, including social and networking reasons, or to celebrate a special anniversary of a department or student society. The University of Melbourne supports reunions with a variety of services.
Who can organise a reunion?
Any former student, whether or not they hold a degree from the University of Melbourne, is eligible to organise a reunion. Staff in Faculties, Departments or Colleges can also initiate reunions.
Support from the University
The University of Melbourne Advancement Office supports alumni reunions with the following services:
- Details of on-campus venues in which to hold your reunions;
- Promoting the reunion to alumni through relevant newsletters, the events calendar on this website and through GradNet;
- Advice on any other aspect of your reunion planning.
Faculties, Departments and Colleges take a keen interest in reunions and can provide further support and advice.
When notifying the University of your plan to organize a reunion, your Faculty should be the first point of contact.
