Director's Tours of the Potter for Alumni

New series in 2008

Alumni of the University are warmly invited to register for a series of exclusive Director’s Tours of some exciting upcoming exhibitions at the Ian Potter Museum of Art.

These special events will consist of a tour led by either the Director of the Potter, Dr Chris McAuliffe or curators Ms Bala Starr and Ms Joanna Bosse, followed by light refreshments.

There is no charge for these events; however, places are limited and registration is essential.

All tours will be held at the Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne (Parkville campus). The Potter is situated on Swanston Street between Faraday and Elgin Streets.

Vivienne Shark LeWitt: comedies & proverbs

Vivienne Shark LeWitt has a unique presence in Australian art. She makes intimately scaled paintings, prints and drawings in a deceptively winsome style where the size and delicacy of the work belies its emotional and poetic impact.

Basil Sellers Art Prize

Sixteen contemporary artists have been selected to compete in the inaugural Basil Sellers Art Prize, a $100,000 award for an artwork on the theme of sport.
