Melbourne University Magazine
The Melbourne University Magazine is published each year and is sent free of charge to all alumni and friends for whom the University of Melbourne has a valid postal address. The April 2008 edition was recently sent to over 160,000 addresses in more than 120 countries.
In this edition, lawyer Richard Bourke talks about his work defending death row prisoners in the USA; medical researcher and Gunditjmara woman Dr Misty Jenkins assesses the significance of Australia's apology to Indigenous people; and young author Alice Pung reflects on what she learned through writing her bestselling memoir, Unpolished Gem.
The Magazine also provides news on alumni activities and upcoming events; a regular 'Alumni in Print' section; and a round-up of University news.
