Since 1989, thousands of alumni, staff , parents and friends have answered the University of Melbourne’s call for private support through the annual University Fund campaign.
The University Fund touches all corners of the University of Melbourne, supporting students through scholarships and financial aid, opening precious doors of opportunity, and keeping Melbourne on the forefront of teaching, learning and research.

Why does the University of Melbourne need money?
It surprises many people to learn that less than half of the University's income is provided by the government. Private support doesn't just help fill gaps. It allows us to continue our work at the highest standard.
We need your help to continue providing students with the best opportunities possible.

In 2008. the University Fund's highest priority is the Future Generations Scholarship Fund.
For Melbourne to remain one of the best-ranked universities, we need to attract the best and brightest students, regardless of their circumstances. How can I support the University of Melbourne today?
Gifts to the University Fund are welcome at any time of the year, whether by cash, cheque, credit card, electronic funds transfer, or other methods. The University of Melbourne is a certified DGR, and all gifts to the University of $2.00 or more are tax-deductible in Australia.
