During the Student Appeal Rent Assistance campaign, our volunteers actively engaged the students who make up the Colleges of the University through information sessions at High Table Dinners and other college events to take part in a Student Appeal Intercollegiate Challenge.
The Colleges have always occupied a special place in the make-up of the University, and we attempted to challenge each College to raise the maximum amount possible for the Appeal, and to celebrate each College's fundraising efforts.
We believe this is a unique opportunity for each College to develop and display its community service efforts, along with an ethos of participation and student philanthropy, all within the framework of the friendly yet lively rivalry well known in intercollegiate sporting and cultural competitions. As this is the first year of the Intercollegiate Challenge, we hope to continue the challenge next year and encourage greater college participation.
