Bionic ear inventor receives Lister Medal
PROFESSOR Graeme Clark AC, the inventor of the bionic ear, has been recognised for his contribution to surgical science by being awarded the prestigious Lister Medal, the third Australian to receive the medal since it was established in the 1920s.

Vam Deo Dhar's legacy
VAM Deo Dhar made his way with great difficulty from post-partition India to study Agricultural Science at the University of Melbourne in the 1950s, but Nicolas Seow, recipient of the inaugural Vam Deo Dhar Memorial Scholarship, is grateful he undertook the journey.

Talent behind the scenes
IT'S the opening night of an exhibition, and the artist is not the only one feeling nervous. Alumna Mary Tokatlidis (PGDipArts (ArtCur) 1994) did not create the artworks adorning the gallery, but as curator her work is also on display.
