Mr Chaly Mah (BCom 1980) has been appointed President of the Singapore division of CPA Australia, Australia's largest accounting body. Mr Mah has more than 30 years' experience in the accounting profession in Singapore and Melbourne, and is currently the regional managing partner and CEO of Deloitte Asia Pacific. more >>
UoM parasite expert wins Fulbright Senior Scholarship
Robin B. Gasser (PhD 1990, DVSc 2000), Professor of Parasitology and Associate Dean International in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, is one of four talented Australians to be recognised as a Fulbright Senior Scholar in 2008. The award will enable him to further his research into parasite genomics using cutting-edge technologies only available in the USA. more >>
Ross Garnaut to be Vice-Chancellor's Fellow
Professor Ross Garnaut, author of the forthcoming Garnaut Climate Change Review and an internationally recognised expert on Asia-Pacific economics, has been appointed a Vice-Chancellor's Fellow at the University of Melbourne and a Professorial Fellow in the Faculty of Economics and Commerce. more >>
Professor Garnaut was the keynote speaker at the University's recent cross-disciplinary conference on Climate Change and Social Justice.

Annual Meeting of Convocation
