Graduate to the New StandardUniversity marks a historic moment with launch of the Melbourne Graduate Schools

The University is delighted to announce the launch of its Graduate Schools, an important occasion in the University's history. Chancellor Mr Ian Renard and Vice-Chancellor Professor Glyn Davis were joined by business, community and academic leaders to celebrate the launch on Friday 26 October.

As a key part of the Melbourne Model, the aim of the Graduate Schools is to attract the best and brightest students from a variety of backgrounds and offer a range of focused and intense courses to prepare them for professional careers.

The University is also expanding its Access Melbourne program and creating new scholarships to support students enrolling in graduate professional degrees. Find out more at Graduate Access Melbourne.

Current Position: President and Associate Professor, Australian Guild of Music Education

After a lifetime's experience of teaching others, Ivan Holmes took the momentous step of returning to study. He was recently awarded his PhD in Music at 84 years of age. more >>

VCA Film and Television alumni Steve French, Elka Kerkhofs and Kylie Plunkett were among the winners of the prestigious Australian Teachers of Media (ATOM) awards for 2007, while Ruby Hamad was a finalist. more >>
