University opens $100 million biotech R&D facility
The Bio21 Molecular Science and Biotechnology Institute - the
University of Melbourne's $100 million contribution to Australia's
biotechnology research and development effort - has been officially
opened by the Premier of Victoria, Mr Steve Bracks. more

University looks to transfer vocational education and training
programs to other providers
The University of Melbourne Council has resolved that the Faculty
of Land and Food Resources should enter into negotiations to transfer
its vocational education and training (VET) programs to alternative
VET providers. Consultations have already identified a number
of such providers. more
