With Semester 2 underway, the University is moving back to its academic rhythm where teaching and research are our top priorities.

Over the past couple of months, we have seen several examples of public acknowledgement of good teaching and good research in the University. Though by no means the only examples, they do illustrate some of the fine work being carried out at Melbourne.

Chiron - Out Now: the University of Melbourne Medical Society's (UMMS) annual journal Chiron was published in June. The journal was posted to UMMS members, complementing the society's biannual newsletter Melbourne PostCard. Membership of UMMS is free and renewable annually. INTERNATIONAL HOUSE HISTORY LAUNCHED

'Of Many Nations: A History of International House: The University of Melbourne', a book by Emeritus Professor Ross Humphreys, was launched at the college by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwong Lee Dow AM on July 16.
