University Welcomes all to a Day of Discovery

The University of Melbourne opened its doors to more than 30,000 visitors at this year’s Discovery Day when prospective students and their families came to campus to see the diverse range of courses and activities on offer in faculties and departments.

Among moments captured by the UniNews camera were a young visitor’s fascination with newborn baby octopuses and their watchful mother in Zoology.

Alumni Careers @ Melbourne

Up to one year after graduation, alumni can continue to use Careers & Employment's full range of services, which includes careers counselling, resumé reviews, seminar programs, careers information and employment opportunities.

After a year, Alumni continue to have access a range of useful services, including up-to-date career information and employment opportunities via Careers Online, Careers & Employment's comprehensive website, weekly email bulletins and access to the Careers Resource Centre.

Graduate Profiles

Previously Raul Estevez enjoyed a successful career in hospitality. From working as a front-of-house manager, to opening several international hotels, his energy was the envy of many of his colleagues. Now, Raul has thrown himself headlong into a teaching career that has already taken him from Canada to Chile, and back to Australia. GradNet asked Raul to tell us more <more>

In 1981, Vi Le Peterson was offered a graduate management trainee position with the Australian and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ Bank). 23 years later, Vi is based in Bangkok, Thailand, where she and her husband run a US-based foundation, The Alliance for Safe Children (TASC).
