UNIVERSITY WELCOMES NEW VICE-CHANCELLOR
With the departure of Professor Alan Gilbert earlier in the year, the University Council has appointed Professor Kwong Lee Dow (left) as Vice-Chancellor for the period of 2004. Professor Lee Dow has had a long-standing association with the University, spanning more than 30 years.

Professor Glyn Davis (right) will replace Professor Lee Dow as the University's Vice-Chancellor in 2005. Professor Davis is currently Vice-Chancellor of Griffith University in Queensland and formerly Queensland’s top public servant. Professor Davis’ appointment was confirmed by the University Council at a special meeting on 23 January. Read more...

This edition, GradNet @ Melbourne profiles entrepreneur Darrell Wade (BCom 1981) who is the co-founder of Intrepid Travel. Established in 1989 with the help of fellow Commerce graduate Geoff Manchester, Intrepid Travel now has over 200 staff and 150 different trips with various styles of travel.

ALUMNI FUNCTIONS IN SRI LANKA AND INDIA
Ms Glen McIntyre, Senior Regional Program Manager, University of Melbourne and Mr Tom Derham, Director of Summer Schools, Trinity College will be hosting a number of functions in India and Sri Lanka throughout March and April.
