ALUMNI CAREERS @ MELBOURNE

The Alumni Relations Program is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of a new and exciting section in GradNet @ Melbourne. Entitled Alumni Careers @ Melbourne, the section will feature articles on career development and will become a regular part of the bulletin from 10 May 2004.
Subscriber feedback through the annual GradNet @ Melbourne survey has indicated that an e education program based on careers be created as an ongoing information service to alumni. In response, each edition of GradNet @ Melbourne in 2004 will cover a wide range of topics from career planning and labour market research to practical advice on how to put together a resume.

MR GRAHAM ELLENDER
This edition, GradNet @ Melbourne profiles Mr Graham Ellender (Master of Dental Science 1975, Doctor of Philosophy 1981) who, after dedicating 20 years of service as an Academic at the University of Melbourne, decided to leave the city for the country to pursue his interest in wine-making. The Alumni Relations Program recently interviewed Mr Ellender to discuss his unique and inspiring career.

UNIVERSITY ALUM APPOINTED TO NEW MALAYSIAN MINISTRY
Datuk Dr Mustapha bin Mohamed is making a return to the Cabinet after almost five years. He is one of six ministers appointed in the Prime Minister's Department and will be in charge of National Economic Planning. He holds a BA (Hons) and an honorary DCom from The University of Melbourne.

TASTE OF THE ORIENT
The Hong Kong Alumni Network will host a "Taste of the Orient" day tour on Sunday 2 May 2004. Activities for the day include Bushwalking and Birdwatching. Cost for the tour is $100(members) and $120 (non-members). There are only 48 places available for this tour so be quick to register your interest!
