ENGINEERING HISTORY COMING SOON
The Faculty of Engineering's history, Increasing Momentum:
Engineering at the University of Melbourne 1861-2004 by
Carolyn Rasmussen (Melbourne University Publishing), will
be available from November 2004. Cost: $65.00. Special price

INAUGURAL REDMOND BARRY FELLOWSHIP
The inaugural Redmond Barry Fellowship has been awarded to
Melbourne historian Dr Leonarda Kovacic, who will use it to
fund research into the way Aboriginal women were represented
in photography during the colonial period of Australian history.

EDUCATION BUILDS BRIDGE TO BRUNEI
Brunei Darussalam’s Deputy Education Minister was an honoured
visitor to the University of Melbourne recently, meeting with
the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kwong Lee Dow, and Vice-Principal
(University Development), Mr Roger Peacock, to discuss educational
