Mingling over food, wine and fine art in Ballarat
AN evening of food, wine and fine art gave alumni the chance to reconnect in Ballarat. More than 100 people attended this special event, hosted by Chancellor Ian Renard, at the Art Gallery of Ballarat on Saturday 8 November. Following the success of this event, further regional gatherings will be planned for alumni in 2009.

THERE are around 165,000 University of Melbourne alumni living in Victoria, with around 120,000 of these people living in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
Melbourne
The University runs over 1000 events during the year, many of which will be of interest to alumni. These include public lectures, seminars and special events. Visit Upcoming Events for a complete list.
Keep informed about events specifically for alumni by visiting the Alumni Events Calendar.
Most faculties coordinate comprehensive programs of events and activities for alumni living in Melbourne.
Regional Victoria
THERE are significant numbers of alumni living in regional Victoria, particularly in and around Morwell, the Goulburn Valley, Seymour, Bendigo, Ballarat and Geelong.
The University recognises that it is not always easy for alumni living in regional Victoria to access events and activities in Melbourne, therefore a number of events are offered in regional areas.
We hope to grow our regional program significantly over the coming years so would be pleased to hear from any alumni in these areas with suggestions and comments about future activities.
