Rating and Award Criteria

Web accessibility ratings are difficult because they involve a combination of:

• written responses in the RFP;
• audits of demonstration sites; and
• user testing feedback.

Technical Evaluation

A technical evaluation, that evaluates a closely follows the WCAG guidelines, is likely to pick up more accessibility failures because it is assessing things that affect all users. Also, the Web Accessibility Lead spent the most time on the evaluation.

Overall Rating

After reviewing the vendors written response, reviewing their product against WCAG 2.0 and testing the product with users, you will be in a good position to provide an overall rating of each vendor proposal.
