Approval Path for New Courses/Major Changes to courses

 

The Director of Academic Programs and the Secretary to the APMC will review each proposal before submission to APMC. As part of this process the Vice-Principal (Planning) and the Vice-Principal and Director Financial Operations will be consulted regarding Part A and the Business Plan. Any further information required will be obtained from the Faculty/Graduate School/Course Standing Committee before the proposal is submitted to APMC. Any queries raised or changes requested by APMC should be resolved with the initiating body and Chair of APMC before submission of the proposal to the Committee of Deans, UGPC/PCPC and SPC The Secretaries to the Board Committees will coordinate the advice to Academic Board from the Board Committees and the Committee of Deans, so that the Board receives advice from UGPC/PCPC, SPC and the Committee of Deans at the same meeting. In consultation with the Director of Academic Programs, any queries raised by Board Committees will be referred back for resolution to the initiating body and/or Committee Chair before submission of the proposal to Academic Board.
