Academic Board
Overview
The Academic Board was established by the Melbourne University Act 1958. The Board is governed by Statute 4.1, which specifies the Board's executive, recommendatory and advisory powers and obligations and its membership, giving it authority to delegate powers and responsibilities to committees, subject to section 4.1.5 of Statute 4.1.
The Council relies on the Academic Board for advice and recommendation on academic (related) matters.

The President of the Board is Professor Geoff Stevens.
The Vice President of the Board is Professor Ron Slocombe.
The Deputy Vice President of the Board is Professor Ruth Fincher.
