David Percival joined the University in 1991 as Director of Financial Operations. He was appointed Vice-Principal and Chief Financial Officer from 2001, with responsibility for Financial Operations and the Insurance Office. These departments manage the University's financial operations and risk transfer activities. As Chief Financial Officer for the University he is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely preparation of the University¹s annual accounts.

David is a member of the board of the following companies on behalf of the University:

• Melbourne Business School Limited.
• Melbourne University Publishing Limited
• The Australian and New Zealand Universities Protection and Indemnity Foundation
• UniMutual Limited

He serves on the board of management of the following University controlled entities:

• The Melbourne Theatre Company
• The Ian Potter Museum of Art
• Melbourne University Bookroom
• Medley Hall
• Veterinary Clinic and Hospital
