Professor Pip Pattison
Pip Pattison is President of the Academic Board, which has as its primary responsibility "the supervision and development of all academic activities of the University, including the maintenance of high standards in teaching and research". Pip completed a PhD at the University of Melbourne in 1980, receiving the University of Melbourne Special Thesis Award in 1983. Her current research focuses on the development of dynamic network-based stochastic models for social processes, and on applications of these models to a diverse range of phenomena, including network epidemiology, intra- and inter-organizational processes, the emergence of markets, sustainable farming practices and river management. Pip is currently a Professor of Psychology in the School of Behavioural Science. From 2003-2004, Pip served as an Advisory Panel Member for the National Science Foundation's program on Measurement, Methodology and Statistics.
