Long-term goals and strategies must always inform and shape the way the University sets immediate priorities and makes operational decisions. The successful management of University issues ensures a viable, profitable and stable educational environment for staff and students.

The Chancellor, Ms Elizabeth Alexander , chairs the University Council. The University Secretary's department provides administrative and legislative support for the Council, its committees and the broader University.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Glyn Davis AC, is the Chief Executive Officer of the University. He and the Senior Executives form the highest level of management at the University.
The Deans and Heads are responsible for management of our faculties and academic departments. They meet regularly as members of the Academic Board.
The accountability framework describes how the University monitors, analyses and reports on its business, academic and other activities.
