Regulation 7.1.R7 - Industrial Associates Scheme

Interpretation

  1. In this statute unless the contrary intention appears-

"industrial associate" means an individual or a firm or a company or an enterprise or a government department who or which has agreed with the University to become a member of its industrial associates scheme;

"industrial associates scheme" means the scheme which allows industrial associates to agree with the University to enable visiting industrial fellows to undertake research and postgraduate training at the University;

"visiting industrial fellow" means an employee of or a contractor to an industrial associate who undertakes research or postgraduate training at the University in accordance with the agreement reached between the industrial associate and the University.

Industrial Associates Scheme

  1. (1) The University may enter into agreements with industrial associates where it believes that such agreements will benefit the University and the industrial associate.

(2) Agreements with industrial associates may provide for certain benefits to the industrial associates whilst members of the industrial associates scheme.

Visiting industrial fellow

  1. (1) The Council may accord the title of visiting industrial fellow to employees of or contractors to its industrial associates.

(2) The Council may from time to time determine the conditions upon which it will accord the title of visiting industrial fellow.
