R7.19 - Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Endowment Fund

Recital-

  1. The University received £5,374 from subscribers in 1933 for the endowment of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, which sum increased to $41,358 at 31 December 1994.

It is provided as follows-

  1. The sum of $41,358 and any accumulations and additions to the sum, which must be kept as a separate fund and be invested as the Council from time to time directs, is known as the "Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Endowment Fund" (“the fund”).
  2. The income of the fund is applied towards the promotion of the work of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in such ways as the Council directs.
  3. Any unexpended income may be accumulated for subsequent expenditure or may be added to the capital of the fund.
