Regulation 7.8 - John Hugh Sutton Memorial

Recitals-
- Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Sutton presented the sum of $500 to the University to establish a classical museum to be called the " John Hugh Sutton Classical Museum" as a memorial to their son John Hugh Sutton who, while a student of the University resident at Trinity College, was accidentally killed.
- The sum of £500 remained $1000 at 31 December 1994.
It is provided as follows-
- The said sum of £1000 pending its expenditure as provided above must be held by the Council in trust for the establishment of the " John Hugh Sutton Classical Museum" and must be invested as the Council from time to time directs.
- The sum together with any accumulations and additions to the sum must within three years from the date of the passing of this regulation be expended by the Council in the purchase of such exhibits for the museum as are selected by Professor Scutt or his successor and in the proper setting up of the same as a memorial to the late John Hugh Sutton.
- The exhibits or the cases containing them must at all times be so marked as clearly to indicate that such exhibits or the contents of such cases are a memorial to the late John Hugh Sutton.
- The museum and memorial must at all times be properly maintained by the Council at the University.
