- A candidate must submit a record of the work whether published or unpublished which he or she wishes to submit for assessment1. The faculty, if it approves the subject or subjects of the work submitted for assessment, must nominate examiners.

When a candidate submits work carried out in collaboration with another person, the candidate must indicate his or her own share in the work.
- Subject to the statutes and regulations of the University, the faculty must give directions for the conduct of assessment.
- A candidate whose work as submitted gives evidence of research and ability satisfactory to the examiners and in their opinion constitutes a definite contribution to Architecture and who has fulfilled the prescribed conditions may be admitted to the degree of doctor of Architecture.
