Regulation 2.5.R3 - The Pro-Vice-Chancellors

Appointment of Board officers

1

Council may appoint annually-

  1. a pro-vice-chancellor, who is the president of the Board; and
  2. another pro-vice-chancellor, who is the vice-president of the Board.

Other appointments

2 On the recommendation of the vice-chancellor, Council may appoint other pro-vice-chancellors for such periods of up to five years as it deems appropriate. Such pro-vice-chancellors will have designated areas of responsibility as determined by Council.

Duties

3 The pro-vice-chancellors appointed under section 2 must perform any duties required of them by the vice-chancellor or the provost in relation to the academic affairs of the University, provided that any such duties do not restrict the powers of the pro-vice-chancellors appointed under section 1.
