Subject Description | This subject will introduce students to the consideration of what theology is and how it may be done. Consideration will be given to the history, aims, resources, methods, themes, contexts and divisions of Christian systematic theology. Topics to be covered will include an historical survey of theological method, the relationship between theology and other disciplines, the living tradition of the Christian community, and the insights of other religious traditions. Students who complete this subject should be able to understand the major areas of Christian belief and identify the types and methods of systematic theology. |
