Subject Description | This subject comprises a detailed study of the principles and craft of theatre and performance writing with focus on production of a script. Cultural and theoretical issues relevant to current practices and styles will also be studied. |

Assessment | Written work equivalent to 4000 words comprising a script equivalent to 3200 words 80% (due at the end of semester, including two drafts submitted before and after semester break), a 30-minute class presentation paper of 750 words 10% (presented as scheduled during the semester), a course journal documenting participation in and completion of workshop exercises and script research and development 10% (due in the last class of semester). There is an 80% attendance hurdle for this subject. |
