Subject Description | This subject is a study of the representation of women in art, film, theatre and writing. Students of this subject will explore a variety of feminist critical strategies in the study of historical and contemporary works created by both male and female artists. The subject will be taught by specialists from each of the creative arts areas and students will be required to submit work that covers more than one art form. |

Assessment | Written work equivalent to a total of 4000 words, including an essay of 2000 words 50% (due at the end of semester) and class participation and presentation including a one page summary 10%, and a seminar paper of 1600 words 40% (due in class through individual negotiation). A hurdle requirement of a minimum 80% attendance is required. |
