Subject Description

This subject is designed to broaden student's knowledge of chamber music repertoire from the baroque period through to music of our time. This subject will address areas such as style, analysis, historical context as well as discussion and research into modern day performance practice of a wide variety of chamber music works.

Assessment

Preparation and commitment as demonstrated by performance tasks and/or a regularly updated journal of activities embracing all areas studied (50%) - Hurdle requirement of 80% attendance. Written and/or practical examination(s) of 60-90 minutes on the material studied in this subject (50%).
