Subject Description | This subject accommodates pianists who see their professional careers heading towards accompanying/repetiteuring rather than solo performance. This subject embraces both the art of accompanying and repetiteuring and the art of ensemble playing. Development of skills at the piano and sessions on the art of sight-reading and repertoire are included. |
Assessment | Continuous: Preparation and commitment as demonstrated by performance tasks and/or a regularly updated journal of activities embracing all areas studied (50%) - Hurdle requirement 80% attendance. Formal: One practical test of approx 10 minutes duration (50%) |
