Subject Description | This subject examines the classical music of the 18th and 19th century with specific attention to placing the music in historical, social and cultural contexts. Selected works will be chosen in the examination of the materials and structures of music. |
Assessment | Continuous: Preparation and commitment as demonstrated by performance tasks and/or a regularly updated journal of activities embracing all areas studied (50%) - Hurdle requirement 80% attendance. Formal: A formal written examination of 1 hour duration (50%). |
