Subject Description | In this subject the work generated in the studio is the result of a further intensification and distillation of creative and conceptual aspects of the student's involvement in printmaking. Emphasis is aimed at the student being more self-motivated and independent, evolving a personal working process and a further development of an aesthetic attitude. Increasing attention is given to the broader context of printmaking and fine art practice as it relates to the student's development. The tutorial program provides a vigorous forum for discussion and evaluation of the students' work, its direction and its context in the broader parameters of fine art. As part of the studio subject, students are required to participate in drawing classes and related drawing activities. |
