Subject Description | A program of assigned reading, occasional seminars and individually supervised research in which students will gain an extensive knowledge of the area studied, a working knowledge of the theoretical and analytical methods for the topic studied and an ability to apply these methods to their own research. The faculty will advise on attendance at appropriate research seminars. On completion of this subject students should have • developed a capacity for independent critical thought • developed high-level cognitive skills • developed an openness to new ideas. |
Assessment | Written projects to a total of 4000 words (100%). |
