Students participate in staff-supervised ensembles as directed by the Dean.

On completion of this subject, students will be able to participate with ability and self-confidence as a team-member of a performing group; identify and exhibit specific knowledge of a range of ensemble repertoire; exhibit an informed respect for the values and principles of ensemble performance.

Note: In order to pass the subject, a satisfactory result must be obtained in both components of the assessment.

Assessment will be on a pass/fail basis and will be based upon:

• Punctual attendance at and participation in all rehearsals and concerts.

• Attendance at a minimum of five concerts as prescribed and approved by the Dean. A concert attendance report (forms are available on the Faculty web site) of approximately 100 words must be submitted for each concert to the Faculty Office by the last day of semester. Diploma of Music (Practical), International Exchange and Study Abroad students and University of Melbourne Extension Program students only are exempt from this requirement.
